free eye surgeries performed and counting..

“I write to thank you for inviting me to participate in the celebration at the House of Commons of the Sankara Eye Care Institutes' singular achievement of one million free cataract surgeries. It is a measure of the commitment of all personnel who take part in the process, whether administrative, supportive, medical or nursing that this has been achieved. The aspiration to provide exemplary patient care in all 20 States in India based on the model in Coimbatore is outstanding and maybe one day this expertise can be used in other countries where cataract blindness is so prevalent. I therefore offer my sincere congratulations to all in SECI and look forward to your completing another million free surgeries.”
